Your role in the Transfer Pricing team

In your future role as Transfer Pricing Economist based in Rotterdam you commit yourself to invest in your (international) career and join the success of the multi-disciplinary TP / TASC team. Due to the cross border nature of the projects you may have the opportunity to travel and stay in foreign countries for short to medium periods.

 

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Assist the directors and partners on the following:
  • Advise and assist our clients in all (business) aspects of tax aligned supply chain planning, factual & financial analyses, project management, transfer pricing controversy issues, APA processes and TP implementation.
  • Familiar with research into the profitability of comparable companies or businesses.
  • Determine interest / royalty spreads and interest / royalty rates, financial instruments, valuation issues, financial (decision) models, statistical analysis, etc.
  • Work on international projects
  • Build partnerships with clients and other parties
  • Give presentations to clients and prospects

Profile of the suitable candidate

  • Approx. 6 to 8 years experience with transfer pricing, preferably in the financial services industry
  • University degree in econometrics, (fiscal) economics, CPA, accountancy or other degree with a preference for complex calculations and models (econometrie)
  • Strength in analytical financial modeling abilities
  • Knowledge of Amadeus, Loan Connector, Bloomberg, S & P and other financial databases.
  • Team player, analytic, excellent drive to succeed, flexible and hands on mentality
  • Strong IT skills (PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English and the Dutch language
  • Excellence in project management and presentation skills
  • Having gained the technical skills and the professional qualities necessary to provide the clients with the quality service they expect and the ability to convert complex international supply chain structures into client proven solutions

The TP / TASC group of Deloitte in the Netherlands consists of international (indirect) tax professionals, economists, CPAs, MBAs and consultants. As a consequence of this multi-disciplinary character, combined with the integrated Deloitte Consulting service offering capability, we are capable to advise and assist our clients in all (business) aspects of transfer pricing / tax integrated supply chain planning, location advisory, business process analysis and optimization, project management, transfer pricing documentation, Advance Pricing Arrangements (APAs), implementation and controversy issues.
