Let's talk about wellbeing

Wellbeing is a fundamental aspect of everyone’s life. It’s something that is apparent in different ways – big or small. It’s something we can clearly see, for example, if someone has a physical handicap, or something we cannot see at all, like someone who is struggling with mental health. It's a topic with diverse perceptions, which is why it is important to talk about.

Layla

'A positive mindset can do a lot for you and the people around you'

'My father is my inspiration because he taught me how a positive mindset can get you through difficult times and not worry too much about what is going on.' Layla has a chronic kidney disease that runs in the family. 'It's something that you don't see from the outside, but I do have to go to the hospital sometimes.' She is very happy that she can be honest at work. 'It makes my colleagues feel that they can ask me any question, without it being awkward.'

Peter

'I want to normalize talking about financial health, as I know the weight of financial stress from my youth'

'We should normalize talking about wellbeing and make the time for it.' Peter aims to make financial health a common topic of discussion. Growing up with parents who faced financial stress, he understands the impact of uncertainty and shame it can bring. 'I believe that true understanding begins when we stop pretending. According to our most recent data, 41% of households do not discuss financial health. However, starting the conversations really is the first step towards a better future.'
