Eenjarig programma met zicht op een nieuwe carrière kans

Het Rediscover Your Career programma bestaat uit een contract van een jaar dat minimaal 24 uur werk per week vereist. Het staat open voor iedereen die minimaal 5 jaar ervaring heeft in de zakelijke dienstverlening* en die een loopbaanonderbreking van een jaar of meer heeft gehad.

Deelnemers aan het programma worden ingezet voor een specifieke rol binnen de organisatie en profiteren van een uitgebreid introductieprogramma, bestaande uit training in soft skills, inhoudelijke en technische vaardigheden, coaching en voortdurende ondersteuning vanuit de organisatie en van de andere deelnemers aan het programma.

*inclusief minimaal 1 jaar ervaring in een vergelijkbare rol als waar je op wilt solliciteren.

1. Who can apply for the Rediscover Your Career programme?
You must:

  • have taken a career break of one or more years 
  • have five or more years’ experience within professional services or a relevant industry/sector, including a minimum of one year in a similar position to the role you wish to apply for
  • have an academic background

2. Is there an age restriction for the programme?
No. We look for relevant skills and experience. We do not apply age criteria when reviewing candidates’ suitability for the programme and the role.

3. How do I apply?
If you’re interested in joining the programme, please submit your details via the registration link. You will be required to share your CV as part of your application. Please also include details of your career break or change (including relevant dates).

4. What is the application closing date?
Applications for the September 2019 Programme have now closed. If you would like to register your interest in the programme or find out more information please contact Joanne Read.

5. What if I don’t find a role that’s right for me?
Do not despair, the roles currently listed on the Rediscover Your Career website are only a sample of the roles compatible with the programme. Even if you cannot see a role that is appropriate for your skills and experience or in your chosen location, we encourage you to register your interest and we will do our best to work with you to establish whether there is a role in the organisation that suits your skills, experience and needs. 6. What is the recruitment process?
After submitting your details via the registration portal, you will be contacted by one of our recruiters. Based on this conversation and your CV, we will be able to determine whether the programme is suitable for you. If you are invited to proceed with an application , your recruiter will share with you the particular details of the application process for the role you wish to pursue. Please be sure to apply for our September programme before May, 31.

7. How long will the process take?
We know that your time is precious. We will endeavour to complete the recruitment process as efficiently as possible, taking account of your availability and that of our business partners whom you will meet.
To help us with that, once your recruitment process is underway, please provide us with details of any periods when you are unavailable (e.g. planned holidays) so we can work around them.

8. What happens post offer?
After contract completion, you will receive information about your start date and what to expect during your first few weeks in the firm including an invitation to attend a Deloitte Introduction day and the Rediscover Your Career Onboarding Programme. 
You will also be assigned a Buddy as a point of contact in the business. Your Buddy will be there to support you and help answer any questions you may have as you prepare to re-enter the workplace. 
If you require any workplace adjustments to be made because of a disability or health condition then we will introduce you to somebody in HR before joining, who can help arrange these for you.

9. Is my career break valid?
This  programme is primarily focussed on supporting the reintegration of those who have either taken a side step in their career or taken a career break  of at leastone year. Examples could include time off for family life, for travelling, recovering from an illness, disability-related leave, or just time out to refocus and re-energise.

10. My skills and knowledge are out of date – what refresher training will I receive?
After a prolonged period out of the work environment, we understand that you’ll need to bring your knowledge and skills up to date. To help bridge that gap, you will have the opportunity to create a professional development plan where you can identify skills that you need to refresh, from the suite of training that we offer.
We’ll also provide induction training to familiarise you with Deloitte, structured learning to enable you to use our everyday tools and software, and technical and regulatory training where required. You’ll also be assigned a Buddy, who will help you settle in and a coach to support your development for the duration of the programme.

11. What kind of work will I do?
It depends on the area of our business you join and your grade. Whatever your role, you’ll be working on projects that make a genuine difference to our clients and our firm.

12. Will I receive a salary?
Yes. This is a paid programme. You’ll get a salary and benefits package in line with the permanent roles in the area of the business you join.

13. Where will I be based?
You could be based in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht or in one of our regional offices and, for some roles, you may find yourself based on client site.
We carefully consider agile ways of working, both formal and informal, that allow for the best impact for our people and our clients. This includes having the option to work from home when needed.

14. Will I need to travel?
Some roles may require you to travel within the Netherlands. If that’s the case, it will be made clear to you during your recruitment conversations. During the course of the programme, some group training sessions may be held in various regional offices, so you might be asked to travel. We’ll give you advance notice so you can plan accordingly.

15. What days will I work?
The days and number of hours worked will be decided on an individual basis in collaboration with your line manager. During your onboarding programme and ongoing group training sessions, you may be required to work on days that you would not ordinarily work. You will be notified of all schedule training sessions in advance so you can plan accordingly.
You will be eligible for annual leave during the programme, in accordance with Deloitte’s holiday policy and procedures. 

16. When do I start?
Our first iteration of the Rediscover Your Career programme will commence on 2 September 2019 and will run for a full calendar year. 

17. What support is available when I join the firm?
From the minute you join, you’ll have a huge amount of support around you. Not only do you have your fellow programme peers who are in exactly the same boat as you, you are also supported by a Buddy, your line manager (for your day-to-day work), a coach and a mentor. 
Additional training and networking sessions have also been scheduled throughout the duration of the year, in addition to the tailored onboarding programme, to provide you with ongoing development opportunities and support.
