Do you have any idea how much data is stored and exchanged throughout the largest companies of the Netherlands, on a daily basis? Think about financial transactions, e-mails or strategic reports. To be honest, we don't know exactly either. What we do know is we ultimately have the obligation to report on our data to a variety of regulatory bodies. And our clients do as well. Failure to report accurate data may lead not only to financial sanctions, but also legal and reputational risks. So, how to ensure reports are reliable and up-to-date? Here's where you come in.

As a consultant in Financial Risk Analytics & Reporting, you understand the challenges that financial institutions face regarding regulatory reporting and relevant data solutions. The value of your role comes from connecting the two. You bring structure in huge amounts of data to make analysis possible. You complement your data skillset with deep knowledge regarding regulatory requirements. You will be helping our clients transform into data-driven organizations with optimal business processes, compliant with regulations. You are creative in presenting your findings in a way that makes sense to executives. Within projects, you work with people from various disciplines such as Finance, Risk Management, and IT. You understand their lingo.
You are a starter and this will be your first career step. You bring in academic knowledge and the soft skills needed to be part of an assignment. We will give your career a kick-start and support you in becoming a professional. You will focus on continuous improvement of your skillset and the quality of your work. You have the ambition to become an expert in your field. Internally, you also have a significant content contribution in the development of proposals and other deliverables.
Our team, Financial Risk Analytics & Reporting, is a strategic growth priority within Deloitte. We combine deep Data, Analytics & Technology skills with Regulatory Reporting Standards (e.g. IFRS, Solvency II, Basel IV, FINREP, COREP, AnaCredit). We use data analytics to solve complex challenges for our clients. Specifically, we improve the quality and reliability of data-driven reporting. As these reports are of great strategic importance, regulators and shareholders impose substantial demands on their quality and accuracy.

What you offer
You recently graduated from university in the field of: (Technical) Business Administration, Information Science, Econometrics, Economics, Accounting or any other relevant study and this will be your first career step. You have affinity with analytics, data management, risk management and regulatory reporting. Furthermore, you are eager to start learning about data transformation and visualization tools, such as SQL Server, QlikView, or Python.
You have great analytical skills and you pay attention to detail. You are self-reliant and proactive: this means you can both work independently and reach out when in need of help. You have experience working in teams. You have excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both verbally and in writing.
