Neurodiversity Network

The Deloitte Neurodiversity Network is an initiative that celebrates the diversity of human brains and minds. Our goal is to ensure everyone feels empowered to approach their jobs in ways that fit with how their minds, brains and thought processes work.

We aim to make Deloitte The Netherlands a place where we embrace, support and encourage diversity of thought, and where it's not just about what we think - the ideas, solutions and opinions we contribute - but also about how we think, acknowledging the different ways in which our brains process and transform information.

Neurodiversity explained
ADHD, autism, dyslexia, intellectual giftedness or dyscalculia are all examples of neurodiversity. "Instead of disorders, we like to see them more like differences. Differences that, if properly supported, can be of real value to the firm. The new Deloitte Neurodiversity Network has been formed to embrace, support and encourage this diversity of human brains and minds", initiator Jef Holland, Sponsoring Partner.

Mutual understanding and awareness
It is important to create mutual understanding and awareness. "With the Deloitte Neurodiversity Network we want to create a safe space for neurodivergent colleagues to share experiences and learn from one another. We also want to ensure that neurotypical Deloitte colleagues can learn how to effectively work with their neurodivergent colleagues. Lastly, we hope to contribute to shaping policy and processes to ensure that neurodivergent individuals are treated equitably across the entire employee experience."

Vision for the future
