HOW DID YOU GET TO KNOW DELOITTE, AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE CORE TEAM? ‘I got to know Deloitte through a SAP traineeship. Our team consists of people with various backgrounds, which leads to wonderful conversations. We are a close team. We work hard, but we play hard, too - there is always room for fun, jokes, and a trip after work every now and then. When I started working at Deloitte I noticed that colleagues were always willing to help whenever I needed to know something or couldn’t figure something out. The team members are very open and input is always appreciated, whoever you are and whatever your function level is. That is perfect for my career development.’ WHAT KIND OF PROJECTS DO YOU WORK ON? ‘My projects are focused on risk management related to IT systems and processes. Working on projects is a big plus, as you get to know various clients in a short while, and learn a lot. I help clients assess and design financially relevant IT controls, and also advise them about risk reduction during e.g. SAP S/4 HANA implementations. We design, build, test and implement authorisation designs or internal control frameworks that are aligned with the client’s business processes. This helps clients to be in control of their risks and become more responsible businesses.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE MOMENT SO FAR, SINCE YOU STARTED WORKING AT DELOITTE? ‘There are so many of them! I think the most memorable event is the Deloitte NL Townhall that took place in 2019, with performances by BLØF and Kris Kross Amsterdam, interesting keynote speakers and lots of good food. Another favourite moment was our team offsite learning week. During the day the entire team did e.g. Agile, SAP, and Cloud trainings, and at night we would enjoy a barbecue, game night, karaoke contest, and the closing party.’ HOW DO YOU KEEP UP-TO-DATE WITH SAP DEVELOPMENTS? ‘Deloitte offers various options. For instance, we are often invited to webinars with new SAP updates, and we can join a large number of trainings. That includes trainings in other areas, such as project management, Python, Data Modelling and many more. Within the team there is a large amount of SAP expertise. We share relevant developments during our weekly meetings. Also, we can join SAP masterclasses that are taught by colleagues with expertise in a certain field. Personal development is key at Deloitte.’

WHY SHOULD POTENTIAL CANDIDATES JOIN THE TEAM? ‘Working at Deloitte is great for a number of reasons. You really get to help clients. Also, the working hours and location are flexible. Next to client assignments, there are so many activities you can do.
