Deriving responsible insights from data
The Responsible Data & Analytics team focuses on all things data. What do clients do with their data? Is that a smart approach or are there better options available? ‘It’s our job to help clients solve these problems. We help them derive insights and predictions from data.’ Aïcha Mohazzab, Manager AI & Data at Deloitte Technology & Transformation, explain further.
For Aïcha, “data” has always had a magical ring to it. ‘I’m from a family of doctors, but after I fainted at the ER, my relatives supported my decision to pursue Econometrics. Already at an early age I wanted to be a Data Analytics consultant at a Big Four firm. During the job interviews with Deloitte I felt an instant connection and I’m delighted to be part of this young, close-knit team. My clients work in various industries and are facing all kinds of challenges. On top of that, the social activities in our team are varied too.’
Passion for Data Management
Aïcha has a background in Econometrics but has grown into a managerial role, where she enjoys building end-to-end solutions with clients. “Our team consists of different profiles. It is very valuable to have other ways of thinking and breadth in the team. Besides the standard econometricians, for example, we also look for candidates with IT and business backgrounds because we also focus on the usability side of data. What connects us is that we all have the same drive. And a passion for data.”
“And if you're worried you don't yet have all the right skills? No problem,” Aïcha adds. “The generous trainings offered and the variety of client projects provide a broad and challenging development perspective. Within Deloitte there are several groups you can join, such as the Artificial Intelligence group, where I can pursue my passion for innovation and, together with other colleagues, broaden our knowledge. Personal development is strongly encouraged, including through coaching, and you become part of a broader recipe for success.”
