With your personal strengths, view of the world and unique personality. You need the following qualifications for the position of Databricks Cloud Deployment Engineer (Azure):
- A technical Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Physics, or a related field;
- At least 4 years of work experience in cloud engineering; consulting experience is a plus;
- Proven experience with Databricks deployment and administration on Azure including workspace configuration, cluster management and access control;
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security (AAD, RBAC, private networking), identity and access management, storage and resource management;
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools and CI/CD pipelines for Databricks deployments;
- Proficiency with cloud networking, security, and resource management;
- Relevant Azure and Databricks Certificates are advantageous;
- Excellent command of English and Dutch.
What impact will you make?
As a Databricks Cloud Deployment Engineer (Azure), you will be a trusted adviser to our clients, designing and implementing secure, high‑performance Databricks environments on Azure. You will standardize governance with Unity Catalog. You will automate provisioning and deployments with Terraform, Databricks Asset Bundles, and CI/CD. You will embed secure networking, observability, and compliance by design.

How do you do this?
- Design and deploy Databricks workspaces within Azure, including networking, security, and integration with other services (e.g., Key Vault, Data Lake, ADF, Synapse);
- Automate Databricks environment provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. ARM, Biceps, Terraform, Cloudformation, Databricks Asset Bundles;
- Troubleshoot deployment, connectivity, and integration issues;
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and security teams to enforce platform governance and compliance;
- Configure identity and access management (IAM) and permissions for users and service principals.
- Maintain documentation on environment setup, automation scripts, and operational procedures.
