You are naturally solution-oriented and effectively communicate problem-solving ideas. But more importantly, you bring your own strengths, worldview, and personality. Additionally, as a Junior Consultant you have:
- A university Master’s degree with strong academic results;
- participated in extracurricular activities or gained relevant learning experiences through a student, study, or sports association;
- an interest in consultancy and process optimization as shown by your studies, internships, or work experience;
- an affinity with the public sector;
- strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; you can translate complex analyses into clear insights and impactful presentations;
- excellent command of Dutch and English, both verbal and written.

As a Junior Consultant, you work in a multidisciplinary Deloitte team to deliver value to our clients throughout the entire transformation lifecycle. This starts with defining an operational strategy and extends to (re)designing, optimizing, and implementing the operating model and core processes. With a strategic mindset and (digital) technologies as a starting point, you help define future-proof solutions to make our clients more efficient, customer-centric, and sustainable.
Together with your team, you develop innovative and scalable improvements for our clients to respond to rapidly evolving technologies, a quickly changing geopolitical landscape, and a tight labor market in the public sector. How do you do this?
- You develop a future-oriented operations strategy together with the client and translate strategic challenges into concrete improvement initiatives.
- You analyze core processes, operating models, and the broader ecosystem to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
- You design and implement smart, data-driven and technology-driven solutions – such as automation and AI – to sustainably improve performance.
- You work in multidisciplinary teams to thoroughly understand the complex challenges of (inter)national public organizations.
- You present insights and recommendations clearly and convincingly, and facilitate work sessions and interviews.
- You gain practical experience in all aspects of project management within the public domain and apply this to new assignments and clients.
